NON-LINEAR BEHAVIOUR OF A WING DUE TO UNDERWING STORES

G. A. Vio, D. S. Stanley

Keywords: non-linear aeroelasticity, wing-store interaction

High performance aircraft operating in the transonic regime carry multiple combinations of external stores which can alter the aeroelastic behaviour and result in dynamic instabilities. Previous research into wing/store behaviour, the current work investigates a combined non-linear structural and linear aerodynamic model and explores the behaviour observed.
