This paper presents a systematic framework to estimate deck trend when a rotary-wing UAV approaches a moving deck. An extended Kalman filter is developed to fuse data for estimation of unknown ship positions. Deck trend is extracted using the proposed recursive Prony Analysis procedure and a novel dominant-mode selection principle.
