EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF A BI-PLANE MICRO AIR VEHICLE

Wind-tunnel testing is performed on various configurations of biplane MAV. The design parameters varied are: gap, stagger and decalage angle. Empirical formulas relating the aerodynamic properties of monoplane and biplane are derived using least square regression methods. Finally the flight performance evaluations are done between optimized biplane and monoplane configurations.
