NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF SHOCK-STALL FLUTTER OF A HIGH-ASPECT-RATIO FORWARD-SWEPT WING

The paper presents the results of the numerical simulations of transonic flutter of a high-aspect-ratio forward-swept wing using a 3D Navier-Stokes code. The simulations have disclosed that the flutter is a single-degree-of-freedom flutter, called as Shock-Stall-Flutter, for which the shock induced flow separation plays the dominant role.
