This paper presents an analytical and experimental investigation to determine the low-velocity impact energy distribution in GLARE 5-2/1-0.4 and 2024-T3 aluminium plates with the same thickness. The developed methodology highlights the contribution of the different failure mechanisms during the low-velocity impact response of fibre-metal laminates.
