The box-wing concept offers strong theoretical advantages in improving the induced drag efficiency of airliners, hence allowing lower environmental impact. This paper considers the initial aero-structural design of a short-range box-wing aircraft, exploring a large design space and offering a multi-fidelity pathway for future designs of non-conventional aircraft concepts.
