This paper presents flight-test results of a new system that is capable of autonomously recovering a UAV to a previously unvisited airfield. A feasible runway is selected using ERSA data. The Auto-Recovery System locates and tracks the runway using a gimballed camera to provide a precise vision-aided landing.
