MEASURING SYSTEM-WIDE IMPACTS OF NEW AIRCRAFT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

I. J. Tetzloff, W. A. Crossley

Keywords: aviation environmental impact, aviation emission goals, fleet-level metrics, aircraft allocation

Technological advances of new aircraft are relatively easy to quantify, but their impact on the fleet-level emissions is more difficult to understand, model, and analyze. This work considers the allocation of future aircraft with existing aircraft to assess the system-wide impact of new aircraft on fleet-level environmental metrics.
