This research investigates different casing mounted dielectric barrier discharge actuator configurations for affecting tip leakage flow and suppressing stall inception on both a low-speed and a transonic compressor rotor with highly loaded tip regions. Plasma injection had a significant impact on the predicted tip-gap flow and improved stall margin.
