ASAS (Aircraft Surveillance Applications System, the former Airborne Separation Assistance System) is seen as a promising option in the future ATM. This research picks up one of the ASAS applications, Interval Management (IM), and compares two different airborne-spacing policies by rare event modeling and simulation study.
