AIRCRAFT CONCEPTUAL DESIGN IN A MULTI-LEVEL, MULTI-FIDELITY, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY OPTIMIZATION PROCESS

T. Lefebvre, P. Schmollgruber, C. Blondeau, G. Carrier
ONERA, France

Keywords: aircraft conceptual design, multi-disciplinary

In ARTEMIS, Onera coupled a Global Aircraft Process that sizes and optimizes the complete aircraft using low fidelity models with an aero/structure optimization (BLISS) based on high fidelity tools. Interactions between these processes enable to calibrate conceptual level models and to orient detail design optimization using system level data.
