Keywords: aeroaccoustics, non-isothermal boundary-layer

Shear flows interact with sound causing acoustic attenuation or amplification. High speed shear flows are often anisothermal, with additional sound reffraction effects associated with the temperature gradients and non-uniform sound speed. These effects are demonstrated fin an anisothermal boundary layer for incident plane waves or a point sound source.
