Keywords: aerodynamics, noise, high-lift, leading-edge, slat

This study focuses on the development of wing leading edge concepts for reduced noise during high lift operations, without compromising landing stall characteristics or cruise performance. Conventional mechanical systems and morphing structures technology have been considered. A systematic aerodynamic analysis procedure was used to arrive at several promising candidates.
