Transport aircraft wing aerodynamic design procedure based on the algorithm of simultaneous multiregime optimization of its cruise and low-speed characteristics is considered. Fast direct methods used for transonic and subsonic aerodynamic analysis as well as optimization algorithm are described. Real-life design examples are given. Corresponding experimental results are included.
