The concept of a multi-disciplinary simulation of a complete gas turbine engine remains an overarching goal with substantial progress made by several research groups. This paper reviews current efforts to perform these complex simulations. We discuss our most recent modeling results for the GE90 and the EEE gas turbine engines.
