Many autopilots are available in the market for UAVs. Selecting the right autopilot to integrate in a UAV is a difficult task because none of them is mutually compatible. This paper proposes a subsystem called Virtual Autopilot System designed to abstract the autopilot to the mission controller in a UAV.
