AERODYNAMIC PERFORMANCE INVESTIGATION OF A MODERN BLENDED-WING-BODY AIRCRAFT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF HEAVY RAIN CONDITION

This paper first reviews findings in creating geometrical model of Blended-Wing-Body configuration. Secondly, the simulation of heavy rain is accomplished by using two-phase flow approach’s Discrete Phase Model. Results shows that we successfully simulate BWB aerodynamic efficiency at cruise and degradation effect under the heavy rain at low speed.
