NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF SLD ICE ACCRETIONS

Ice accretion is numerically simulated for high-lift airfoil sections, employing a finite-volume method for Eulerian multi-disperse droplet tracking, including SLD splashing and a control-volume method for energy-balance/ice-growth. Presented are distributions of wetting efficiency and ice shapes together with comprison with available experimental data.
