Concept of distributed propulsion is to distribute engine thrust using many propulsors by integrating a propulsion system within an airframe such that the aircraft takes full synergistic benefits of these two. The paper describes early concepts of the distributed propulsion vehicles and current turboelectric distributed propulsion vehicle concepts being studied.
