NUMERICAL SIMULATION AROUND AIROFOIL WITH TONAL NOISE GENERATION

A new numerical approach is applied to the flow around an NACA0015 aerofoil with tonal noise generation. Numerical simulations capture the radiation of sound waves and separated regions at the trailing edge. The linear stability analysis shows that the most unstable frequency of T-S waves coincides with the peak frequency.
