A multi-element airfoil including a NACA2415 airfoil with NACA22 leading edge slat is investigated at a transitional Reynolds number of 2 x 105. The single-element aerofoil without the slat experiences a laminar separation bubble in the experiment. The leading-edge slat significantly delays the stall and eliminates the separation bubble. Numerical simulations using the transport equation based transition models are shown to accurately predict the lift curve including the stall, and the elimination of the separation bubble.
