The MDO process of aircraft can be supported using Knowledge Engineering tools such as Knowledge Management and Knowledge-Based Engineering. To improve the integration of domain expert knowledge in KBE applications, a Domain Specific modeling Language is being developed to join the Knowledge Base directly to KBE applications, providing design logic.
