Keywords: Multi-Objective Optimization, Aircraft Design, Environmental Impact

Due to climate change concerns, the environmental performance of aircraft is becoming a major design focus. A methodology is described to optimize aircraft for lower emissions and operating costs while satisfying demand on a route network. Results of applying the hierarchical, multi-objective optimization formulation to a sample problem are presented.
