The FAA plays a pivotal role in maintaining security within the National Airspace System. This paper discusses some of the air domain security measures employed during the September 2007 United Nations General Assembly meeting, some of the airspace security incidents that occurred during the event and the impacts that airspace security measures had on the NAS and its users.
