Keywords: TACTICAL AIRBORNE SEPARATION

This paper presents the results from a study that investigates the performance of aspects of an Airborne Separation Assistance System (ASAS) under varying demand levels using realistic traffic patterns. The main focus is to determine the extent to which sole reliance on the proposed tactical component of ASAS can maintain aircraft separation at demand levels up to three times current traffic.
