The diploma thesis outlines the conceptual design of a STOL regional-jet for 50 passengers and a range of 1000 nm. STOL capability is provided by lift-fans in the wing. Different propulsion systems for the lift-fans are developed and compared to each other with regard to the aircraft’s flight performance.
