Trajectory-based automatic conflict resolution algorithms were evaluated in the presence of trajectory prediction uncertainty comparable to that of today’s operations. Analysis using en route Center traffic data shows that late conflict detections due to climb and descent trajectory uncertainty are a major factor effecting automatic resolution performance.
