The risks of non precision approaches are valid. Industry implemented equipment and procedures to fly constant angle approaches. Aircraft equipment and procedural improvements are discussed. Modern equipment and procedures related to VSD (vertical situational display), RNP (required navigational performance) and IAN (integrated approach navigation) are discussed in detail.
