Results are presented of human factors studies performed at NASA Ames Research Center during a real-time simulation of Raytheon’s TACEC concept for very closely spaced parallel runway operations. Assessments of prototype advanced cockpit displays for wake visualization, automated guidance and navigation systems, and flight deck operational procedures are detailed.
