The high price of crude oil encourages searching for alternative aviation fuels. These fuels could have environmental benefits. They offer supply diversity. However, we may encounter unknown difficulties. The emissions of CO2 during the production process can present problems. This paper presents results of studies weighing alternative aviation fuels feasibility.
