Cranfield’s development of an environmentally benign aircraft, paralleled with research into Silent Aircraft design, will be described. Innovative quiet configurations such as broad deltas and blended-wing-bodies will be described alongside the Cranfield A-6 Green Liner project. Project outcomes and future recommendations for noise and global warming will be discussed.
