The paper investigates the effects of pitch rate, wing surface contamination, and ground proximity on airplane dynamic stalling. The approach combines flight testing, computational fluid dynamics and engineering analysis to measure and simulate the actual stall event. Flight tests and numerical results are presented, including CFD/flight correlations.
