This paper gives a short overview of former fields of applications of the Lighter-Than-Air Technology and shows how the unique flying characteristics of airships, e.g. V/STOL capabilities could help minimizing capacity problems. It also critically enumerates chances and potentials for the LTA technology and evaluates neutrally identified markets.
