A set of flow control approaches for improved aerodynamic performance of transport aircraft over a broad range of applications is presented. Active Flow Control concepts are employed for reducing operational hazards during airplane ground maneuvering, for improving takeoff/landing performance, and for alleviating trailing wakes for higher air traffic efficiency
