Monitoring the condition of aircraft structures is a vital issue and research is underway to develop new NDE methods based on Vibration-Based Inspection (VBI). This article focuses on the application of the so-called negative selection algorithm based on the human immune response behaviour to monitor aerospace structures via VBI.
