The use of wireless sensor network (WSN) for airplane health monitoring and management brings many benefits, but at the cost of security vulnerabilities. This paper analyzes and mitigates the threats to the airplane operation from the WSN collecting and monitoring health data, and wireless transfer of data to ground systems.
