Present study is a parametric numerical (CFD) investigation of the potential impact of localized energy deposition in the nozzle/aftbody region of a hypersonic vehicle configuration. Of interest in this study are the moments generated by utilizing this concept as well as possible reductions in heat transfer to the vehicle.
