The influence of multiple winglets, called remiges as birds tip feathers, on hang-glider climbing performance was performed both numerically and experimentally. Two wings were investigated of which one was elliptically shaped. We proved that a shorter wing with remiges has the same performance of higher aspect ratio wing without.
