LIFT PREDICTION OF MULTI-ELEMENT AIRFOIL USING DES AND RANS

Lift prediction using DES and RANS is implemented for ga(w)-1 multi-element airfoil. Both 1-to-1 multiblock grid and overset grid are used. Numerical results are compared with experimental results. DES is proved to be superior to RANS for maximal lift prediction and massively separated flows simulation.
