The experimental data collected by Boeing and TsAGI made the basis for HQ criteria to select directional control sensitivity taking into account the effect of aircraft characteristics. The theory developed allows understanding of aircraft characteristics complex interaction and the reasons of HQ deterioration for non-optimum values of directional control sensitivity.
