A trajectory based TMA handling is necessary to combine aircraft optimized flight profiles with high airport throughput. An example implementation of a ground based guidance module for 4D-uncapable aircraft is presented. A navigation performance adapted concept is introduced that allows high throughput for airports dealing with mixed traffic.
