This paper evaluates the cost-effectiveness of Vertical Take-off Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (iVTUAV), interoperating with Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), to conduct countermine/IED detection operations. The investigation involves comparative analysis of mission effectiveness and cost of a network-centric system design to a platform-centric system design using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).
