The flowfield produced by the ATFLIR versus the TFLIR on an F-18C aircraft was examined using the USM3D flow solver. CFD results served as input for a store separation trajectory simulation to predict the trajectory of the JDAM when released. Comparisons are made with wind tunnel and flight test data.
