ACTIVE SEPARATION CONTROL ON A SLATLESS 2D HIGH-LIFT WING SECTION

Active separation control by means of pulsed blowing from the flap shoulder is investigated in order to delay flow separation on a slatless 2D high-lift transonic wing section. Compressed air and fast switching solenoid valves are used to excite the flow. The results show significant improvements in lift and drag.
