Aviation faces a conflict between traffic growth and environmental pollution. Using hydrogen as a fuel could in that sense protect sustainable growth of aviation. However, the use of hydrogen entails several technical challenges. This paper presents the design of a large long-range transport aircraft for both kerosene and hydrogen fuel.
