A simulation framework is presented that allows integrated preliminary design and performance analysis of aircraft power system architectures. A dedicated modeling strategy is applied enabling aircraft level energy optimization, considering all forms of energy in an aircraft as well as fuel consumption, mass and drag, for conventional and new architectures.
