The tensile behavior of pre-corroded 7075-T6 aluminum alloy specimens is simulated on the basis of an appropriate damage model. In the damage model developed, the local corrosion damaged has been taken into account in general. The simulated tensile behavior of the corroded specimen is compared against available experimental results.
