A suggested failure criterion basic on Vonmises Strain with classic failure criterions: Tsaihill, Hoffman, Tsaiwuis are used for optimization of composite sandwich structures by Genetic Algorithm and Grid Technology. The optimization results are compared with experiment results. it could be considered as an attepted choice for engineering design.
