GROUND EFFECT MODELING FOR ROTARY-WING SIMULATION

Ground effect modeling for combined forward and axial flight modes is presented. The methodology is based on analysis of the resulting disk flow induced by the ground, the corresponding changes of the rotor flight mode and the induced velocity. It allows to produce the rotor flight dynamics during real-time simulation.
