OPTIMIZATION DESIGN ON PLATE-RIB STRUCTURE FOR CERTAIN KINDS OF AIRCRAFT

An integrated strategy was proposed to deal with the plate-rib structure for aircraft design, which included topology and sizing optimization. They gave optimal structural material layout and sizing parameters. Numerical results showed the approach could reduce structural weight from 5~20% comparing with the traditional method based on engineering experience.
